WHY FLATS:

When you are not mechanically connected to your bike, it’s often easier to spot incorrect techniques and bad habits. This detachment can give us a clearer perspective on things like body position, pedal strokes and overall bike handling. Being able to stay connected to your bike when using flat pedals is the goal and this correct technique can then be transferred when you wear cleats.
We encourage all our clients that wear cleats to practice their skills wearing FLAT pedals. In the long run this will make you a way better and skilled rider.
Get yourself a good pair of flat pedals, (not cheap plastic slippery ones) and some Vans to start off with and see your skills improve drastically!
